Structural Underpinning

Underpinning can remedy a wide range of support problems that affect a building or slab. The challenge as with most stabilization methods is to get the piles within and around the settled portion of an existing structure.

Bonsai overcomes limited access restrictions while still delivering a compact but powerful pile installation as follows:

1.      Excavate at each pier location

2.      Attach the lifting bracket to foundation or slab

3.      Load test each pier

4.      Connect the lifting rams

5.      Simultaneously lift the structure

6.      Check all elevations during and after the lifting

7.      Weld the lifting brackets to the installed pile

8.      Remove the hydraulic lift units

We can locate critical bearing points to help lift and relevel those settled portions of the foundation or slab. This will allow us to realign sticking doors or windows.
